I have a solution for you and it might just prove to be a better one than purchasing a new textbook. Try Algebrator, it covers a pretty comprehensive list of mathematical topics and is highly recommended. With it you can solve various types of problems and it’ll also address all your enquiries as to how it came up with a particular solution . I tried it when I was having difficulty solving questions based on factorising cubic function calculator and I really enjoyed using it.
